Friday 23rd October- bike *** - Felixstowe Circuit including lunch at Falkenham Church – sunny periods and showers.

Decided to give windsurfing a miss today as I have been out three times in four days and hope to go to The Ray, at Southend tomorrow. So, mag and I decided to take a flask of homemade soup over to Falkenham Church on our bikes as we are not using them much at the moment:( So after a morning doing my exercises in a sunny back garden but by the time, we were ready to head out it had clouded over. After a quick stop at an old friend we continued to Marsh lane leading to Kings Fleet with some dark clouds approaching. Then the heaven opened and we had ten minutes of rain getting nice and wet but it was still pretty mild, I was just annoyed I had left my wetsuit out on the washing line! Fortunately, the rain had stopped by the time we reached ‘Emily’ at the church so we could enjoy our soup. With the footpaths now pretty wet and muddy we used country lanes over to the tree lined path towards Levington with great views down to the River Orwell. The footpath was not too muddy and we got back with no mishaps with Mag being impressed with her new tyres:) So an OK ride but could have done without the rain and fingers crossed for some flatwater fun at Southend tomorrow!
